Guaranteed stargazing
Because Witchmark is privately run, I can wait for a promising clear night rather than asking guests to book months ahead and simply hope for good weather.
How booking works
Witchmark is my private observatory, not a venue running a fixed commercial programme. That gives me the freedom to put the sky first.
British weather is unpredictable, so visitors register their interest before any date is offered. When I believe a clear night is forecast and the observing conditions are suitable, I send a private ticket link to everyone on the list.
There are only ten spaces, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Events are released only when the forecast and observing conditions look suitable.

I only invite guests when I believe we have a genuine opportunity to observe. Every Witchmark evening is centred on guided stargazing and actual use of a telescope.
My clear-sky promise
What guaranteed means
I do not want guests travelling to my observatory only to spend the entire evening indoors beneath cloud. Places are released because the available forecast supports genuine telescope observing.
If conditions unexpectedly deteriorate before the session, the evening will be handled in accordance with the published rescheduling or refund policy.
The exact objects visible will vary with the season, the time and the atmosphere, but the purpose remains the same: to share meaningful time beneath the sky.
